The Lion, the Fox, and the Donkey (English)

Once upon a time, a lion lived in the forest. He was very strong but did not like to hunt for food himself. So, he asked a clever fox to bring him food.
The fox went into the forest and met a donkey. The fox said,
“Dear donkey, the lion wants to make you the king of the forest. Come with me.”
The donkey became very happy and followed the fox to the lion.
As soon as they reached the lion, the lion attacked the donkey and cut one of his ears.
The donkey cried in pain and wanted to run away.
The fox quickly said,
“Don’t worry! Kings wear crowns, and the crown goes over the ears.”
The donkey believed him and stayed.
After some time, the lion attacked again and cut off the donkey’s tail.
The donkey was very scared.
The fox said,
“No problem! Now you can sit comfortably on the king’s chair.”
The foolish donkey trusted the fox again.
Finally, the lion jumped on the donkey and killed him. Then the lion said,
“Bring me the donkey’s complete body to eat!”
The fox ran and brought the legs and lungs, but not the brain.
The lion asked,
“Where is the brain?”
The fox smiled and said,
“If the donkey had a brain, would he have followed me so foolishly?”
Moral:
Think before you trust someone.
Foolishness leads to danger.
(Hindi)
Moral:
Denk nach, bevor du jemandem vertraust.
Dummheit kann gefährlich sein.
